William T. Monroe, President
William T. (Bill) Monroe is the pastor of the Florence Baptist Temple in Florence, South Carolina. He founded the church in November 1969 in an abandoned theater building with 18 people present in the first service. The church is located on a beautiful 52-acre campus with 190,000 square feet of buildings and a state-of-the-art recreational complex, including football, baseball, softball, tennis and picnic facilities. Each Sunday morning, the “Baptist Temple Hour” is telecast over a large area of the Carolinas on ABC and NBC affiliates. In addition, Pastor Monroe is the President of Florence Christian School, operated by Florence Baptist Temple, with an enrollment of over 700. He served two terms as President of the Baptist Bible Fellowship International from 2002-2006. He is the author of three books, numerous pamphlets and journal articles in nationally-published magazines. He was educated at Appalachian Bible College, Columbia Bible College, and the University of South Carolina, and has been awarded Honorary Degrees from Hyles-Anderson College, Louisiana Baptist University and Baptist Bible College. On the 40th anniversary of the founding of Florence Baptist Temple, he was presented both the “Order of the Palmetto” and the “Palmetto Patriot” Awards—the two highest awards given by the State of S.C. to its citizens.
Jim Berry, Principal
Mr. Berry is a 1988 graduate of Florence Christian School. He attended and earned his Bachelor of Science degree and his Master of Arts degree from Liberty University. He has also earned his Master of Science Degree from Bob Jones University. Mr. Berry began his career in education in 1993 when he returned to FCS to teach high school math and coach soccer and basketball. Mr. Berry moved into his administrative role in summer of 2003. In addition to his administrative role, Mr. Berry teaches an Honors Algebra II class. He and his wife Esther have four children.
Jimmy Miles, Academic Principal
Mr. Miles earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Education degree from Francis Marion Univeristy. After graduating from FMU, Mr. Miles accepted a job as teacher and coach at South Florence High School. After several years teaching math and coaching football and baseball, Mr. Miles moved into an administrative role of Vice-principal of South Florence in 1987. Mr. Miles moved to Florence Christian School in 1989 and served as Principal until 2003. In addition to serving as Academic Principal, Mr. Miles teaches college level math courses at FCS and sponsors the Math team. He and his wife Doreen have three children and three grandchildren.
Natalie Hardy, Elementary Principal
Scotty Keefe, Athletic Director/Dean of Men
Mr. Keefe graduated from FCS in 1987. After graduation, he attended Francis Marion University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from FMU in 1992 and was inducted into the Francis Marion University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000 for his accomplishments on the baseball field. Mr. Keefe has twelve years of educational experience by serving in roles of teacher, administrator, and coach. Mr. Keefe has been a member of the FCS administration since 2006. In addition to his administrative role, he currently serves as coach for the Girls Varsity Basketball and Varisty Baseball team. He and his wife Stacie have two children.

Doreen Miles, Director of CDC
Mrs. Miles began her service at Florence Christian School eighteen years ago as a K3 teacher. Since then, she has taught K4 and K5 classes. In January, 2010, Mrs. Miles stepped into her present role as Director of the FCS Child Development Center. She and her husband Jimmy have three children and three grandchildren.
